SYNERGISTIC BODYWORK should be viewed as a whole program, more than a single session. Synergistic Bodywork uses several modalities; Massage & Myofascial Release, Synergy Healing (Reiki Healing, Acupressure & EMF Balancing) & CranioSacral Services combining them for each unique individual.

In combination with veterinarians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, dentists, and farriers, Synergistic Bodywork can enhance the benefits of traditional treatments. A group of core people coming together with the same intention of creating Health and Vitality. Restoring Inner Balance for complete Well Being within the horse, thereby increasing performance through improved posture, biomechanical movement and structural integrity.

  • Improved Athletic Performance
  • Improved Flexibility & Range of Motion
  • Improved healing of injuries by increasing blood flow to all parts of the body, releasing toxins along with endorphins-the body’s painkillers
  • Prevents atrophy of muscles not in use
  • Stress reduction, resulting in relaxation
  • Increased overall Wellbeing & Improved Healing

Through careful observation of movement and intuitive interpretation, problem areas will be identified and targeted. Most individualized programs involve 2-4 Full Bodywork sessions that includes educational information for the owner to teach how to maintain the improvements. Clinics and classes are offered for those who want in depth instruction.

Barb is a very gifted Equine Massage Therapist. My horses move better and are more relaxed mentally after they have been worked on. I also appreciate the instruction that I receive during the sessions so that I can continue the bodywork in between their sessions with Barb. Over the months I have learned to feel the difference between a relaxed, functional muscle versus a tight, restricting muscle. This has helped me to “feel” my horses better under saddle – whether they are supple or restricted. “Tight” areas alert me to potential problem areas – such as a developing abscess or too tight of a blanket fit. I’ve also learned that relaxed, supple muscles, make for a relaxed, supple mind”
